VR But Not Really
First off, I think I hate having an everyday thing to do. I seemed to have missed an entire week of posting because I dislike doing the same thing over and over again everyday. I have been doing work despite not showing for it.
First off, I got Optitrack into Unreal to work in real time. Due to some issues at the start, I neither saved a good video, nor did I add in Maya models to the scene, but looking into the documentation, it should be just as easy as doing it in Unity.
I haven't touched any VR equipment or looked into connecting a headset to Unreal, admittedly only out of laziness. The most important fact I found out about the Optitrack plugin is that I can't have the oculus plugin running at the same time as the native VR headset plugin. It makes the engine crash. Lucky me, I have documentation.
While the documentation I have isn't specifically for this project, I'll link the document I'm writing in for my Independent Study. If I haven't mentioned it in previous posts, much of what I'm doing for that IS overlaps with the research I need to do for this class.
